Nathir Dragon concept from Saltire comic books

This is one of the first concepts I did of the Dragon "Nathir" for the first Saltire graphic novel published by Diamond steel comics. I did the art for this comic book with my good friend and classmate Gary Welsh from Dundee art college. The book came out in 2012 and is still available in various bookshops around the UK. Its also available on amazon.

Inked female character concept

 

Ink and water color character design/concept. This is a quick concept I did one night, making rough sketch in pencil and then adding loose water color on top and finally adding ink to the shadows to give it a more expressive painterly feel to it.

These are my storyboards for our BA(horns) degree short film, "The Lighthouse Keepers Crossword" which will be shown for the the first time at Duncan of Jordanstone May 16th for the animation exhibition.

Character design from a 2nd year uni project. It would be used for a 2D, 30 seconds short animation.  

Nathir dragon model

This is my basic dragon model of Nathir from the Saltire comic that me and Gary Welsh did last year. I designed the dragon and made the model sheets for my model. Its gonna be sculpted and textured in Zbrush and will if everything goes well, be one of the main pieces in my showreel for the end of this semester. I still need to add details such as wingclaws and spikes along the back.
